Jeff Shore and Jon Fisher have been collaborating since 2002 to create performative works that combine kinetic devices, technology, imagery and sound-production. They merge their individual expertise in painting, electrical engineering and music composition to construct electromechanical sculptures and immersive installations.
Jeff Shore lives and works in Houston and earned his BFA from the University of North Texas, Denton. Jon Fisher lives and works in Dripping Springs and received a BM from the University of North Texas and completed both his MM and DM from Northwestern University, Evanston, IL. Their most recent work, entitled Drip Machine, was installed at the Blaffer Museum’s downtown satellite location. Solo exhibitions include Trailer (2014) and Reel to Reel at McClain Gallery (2011) and at the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art, Kansas City, MO (2009). Reel to Reel also traveled to Clementine Gallery, NY; Weatherspoon Art Museum at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro; and the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art, Scottsdale, AZ. Shore | Fisher have also had solo exhibitions at Derek Eller Gallery, NY and the Museum of Contemporary Art, Denver, CO.
